NHL Look Ahead: Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022
The NHL is back in full swing after pausing the season for a little over a week. Today, we are going to highlight five different games later in the week and discuss where we should be betting and explain why that should be the lean.
Let’s take a deeper look into each franchise to determine how to make a profit.
We will take a look at the Chicago Blackhawks vs Vegas Golden Knights and New York Rangers vs Anaheim Ducks.
Chicago Blackhawks Travel to Vegas to Face the Golden Knights
The Chicago Blackhawks are not playing well this season and are facing off against the best team in the Pacific Division on Saturday. Center Chandler Stephenson has scored five points in his last five games and should be able to feast against the lesser competition here as well.
The difference is the offense, as Chicago is averaging 2.22 goals per game while Vegas is scoring 3.54 goals per game this year. Go with the Golden Knights to cover the spread at home, as this just screams a 4-2 home win with Marc-Andre Fleury struggling in his return to Vegas as a visiting player.
New York Rangers Travel to Anaheim to Face the Ducks
The New York Rangers are on the opposite side of the country on Saturday night when they take on the Anaheim Ducks. Anaheim is an outstanding 10-4-3 this season at the Honda Center, but New York is also one of the best road teams this season, with a road record of 12-5-2.
Left-winger Artemi Panarin has scored four points in his last four games and is looking like he is ready to take that next step as a player. The Ducks have been struggling as of late, so go with the New York Rangers getting 1.5 goals in this game.
