The Pelicans fell to 17-47 on the season after a 146-117 road loss to the Rockets on Saturday. New Orleans, who entered the game as +7.5 point underdogs, failed to cover the spread, losing by 29 points. The total score of 263 points exceeded the pre-game O/U line of 228.5 by 34.5 points.

New Orleans went on an 11-0 run, extending their lead from 62-43 to 73-43. However, the Rockets responded, outscoring the Pelicans 35-30 in the 2nd quarter and 35-25 in the 3rd. New Orleans trailed 109-83 going into the 4th, where they were outscored 37-34.
