The Grizzlies improved to 48-34 on the season with a 120-106 win over the Mavericks on Friday. Playing at home, Memphis entered the game as 6-point favorites and covered the spread with a 14-point victory. The total score of 226 points narrowly went over the pre-game line of 222.
Memphis jumped out to a 39-24 lead after the 1st quarter, fueled by a 10-0 run that extended the score from 42-24 to 52-24. They continued to outpace Dallas in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, leading 96-78 going into the 4th, where the Mavericks outscored them 28-24.
The Thunder Are Coming Off A Win
The Thunder improved to 68-14 with a 115-100 win over the Pelicans on Sunday. Oklahoma City, favored by 12.5 points, covered the spread with the 15-point victory. The game’s total of 215 points fell short of the 230.5 O/U line.
Oklahoma City jumped out to a 38-19 lead after the 1st quarter, but the Pelicans responded with an 11-0 run, closing the gap to 48-38. The Thunder regained control, leading 90-72 going into the 4th quarter, where they held off the Pelicans’ final push.

The Grizzlies limited Dallas to 12 made threes on 31% shooting from deep. The Mavericks also went 12/16 from the free-throw line. Memphis grabbed 34 defensive rebounds, giving up 7 offensive boards, and added 8 steals and 4 blocks.
Thunder Team Defense
The Grizzlies held the Mavericks to 106 points on Friday, giving up 24 in the 1st quarter and 25 in the 2nd. Memphis allowed 29 points in the 3rd and 28 in the 4th but still managed to secure the win.
Defensively, the Grizzlies limited Dallas to 12 made threes on 31% shooting from beyond the arc. Memphis also sent the Mavericks to the line 16 times, where they made 12 free throws. The Grizzlies recorded 8 steals and 4 blocks in the game.
