Utah trailed 26-15 after the 1st quarter but showed some fight in the 2nd, outscoring Denver 32-31. However, the Nuggets took control in the 3rd, outscoring the Jazz 29-18. A 12-0 run by Denver in the 4th quarter sealed the game, as they outscored Utah 43-28 in the final period.
The Hornets Look To Bounce Back From A Loss
Charlotte’s season record fell to 18-56 after a 98-94 road loss to the Pelicans on Sunday. The Hornets entered the game as +2.5 point underdogs and failed to cover the spread. The total points for the game were 192, which was well below the O/U line of 213.5.
Charlotte started strong, leading 52-43 at halftime after winning both the 1st and 2nd quarters. However, they were outscored 31-21 in the 3rd quarter and couldn’t turn things around in the 4th, where they were edged out 24-21.
Jazz Offense Breakdown
In their 129-93 loss to the Nuggets, the Jazz struggled offensively, shooting just 35.5% from the field and 17.5% from beyond the arc, making only 7 threes. Collin Sexton led the team with 20 points, while Kyle Filipowski and Keyonte George each added 18, with Filipowski also grabbing 13 rebounds.

Jusuf Nurkić contributed 13 points and 12 rebounds, making 2 threes at 50%. Bridges scored 7 points in the 1st quarter, while Smith added 9 in the 2nd and 6 more in the 4th. Nurkić also chipped in 7 points in the 3rd quarter.

Defensively, the Jazz struggled against the Nuggets, allowing 129 points on 57% shooting. They gave up 43 points in the 4th quarter, their worst defensive period. Utah did limit Denver’s three-point shooting, giving up 11 threes on 37% shooting.
The Jazz sent the Nuggets to the line 28 times, where they made 22 free throws. Utah grabbed 28 defensive rebounds, allowing 9 offensive boards. They also recorded 10 steals but didn’t register any blocks.
