After trailing 2-0 early, the Jets responded with seven different players finding the net. Winnipeg took the lead for good with 4:03 left in the third period and added two empty-net goals to seal the victory.

The Pittsburgh Penguins Are Coming Off A Win

Pittsburgh improved to 7-10-4 with a 3-1 win over the Canadiens. The Penguins, who were favored by -1.5 goals, covered the puck line. The total was set at 6.5 goals, but the combined score of 4 fell short of that mark.

Sidney Crosby led the way with two goals, and Blake Lizotte added an empty-netter to seal the victory. Pittsburgh’s defense held the Canadiens scoreless until the third period.

Sidney Crosby opened the scoring for Pittsburgh, netting his 4th goal at 4:03 in the 1st period. He added his 5th on a power play at 1:20 in the 2nd. Blake Lizotte sealed the game with his 2nd goal, an empty-netter with 45 seconds left in the 3rd.

The Penguins managed 24 shots on goal but had 14 giveaways. They scored 3 times, including an empty-netter and Crosby’s power-play goal. Lars Eller picked up his 3rd assist on Lizotte’s late tally.
