NFL Week 12 Recap

The twelfth week of the NFL was full of action along with a few upsets, and some might shock you. Certain games that were considered “locks” ended up falling through the cracks, while others went according to plan.

Let’s take a brief look at some of our favorite games of the week during this NFL Week 12 recap.

Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions – 28-25 (Bills)

This game made our recap list because of how close it ended up being, which was shocking. The Detroit Lions were able to put up 25 points on a top-ten defense in the NFL.

The Buffalo Bills might want to go back to the drawing board and iron out a few things. Sure, they got the win, but they allowed Amon-Ra St. Brown to earn 122 receiving yards.

The reason why the Bills won could once again be credited to QB Josh Allen. Allen passed for 253 yards and two touchdowns and earned 78 yards rushing.

He also had his own rushing touchdown, proving again how useful he is. Even when his defense is struggling, Allen finds a way to win. The Bills will go on to face the New England Patriots on Thursday night.

New England Patriots at Minnesota Vikings – 33-26 (Vikings)

Speaking of the New England Patriots, their defense had a tough time in Week 12. They faced the Minnesota Vikings and gave up 33 points, ten of which was in the fourth quarter.

Allowing Kirk Cousins and the Vikings to mount a fourth-quarter comeback, the Patriots lost 33-26. It would seem that the day didn’t go well for several “top-tier” defenses.

The Minnesota Vikings’ offense once again proved to be too much in the fourth quarter.

Kirk Cousins had an impressive game, passing for 299 yards and three touchdowns. He did throw an interception but quickly made up for it. The Vikings are striking fast and striking often, which has led them to a 9-2 record.
