History of the Los Angeles FC 

Los Angeles FC, also known as LAFC, is a professional soccer team based in Los Angeles, California. Beginning, the team was founded in 2014 and began eventually playing in Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2018. They are the league’s 23rd franchise and are part of the Western Conference.

In its first season, LAFC had a strong start and became the first MLS team to reach 50 points in their first 24 games. The team finished third in the Western Conference and qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs. In the end, they were eliminated in the knockout round.

In 2019, LAFC had a record-breaking season. During this year, they set the record for most points in a single MLS season with 72. The team won the Supporters’ Shield, awarded to the team with the best regular season record. In addition, they reached the Western Conference Finals, where they were defeated by the Seattle Sounders.

LAFC Rises to Fame
