Clemson Tigers | -714 to Win ACC Title

Clemson heads into the 2021 season without superstar quarterback Trevor Lawrence under center for the first time since the 2017 season. Saying that losing Lawrence hurts Clemson is an understatement. Lawrence threw for 10,100 yards in his three seasons with the Tigers. 

D.J. Uiagalelei will try and fill Lawrence’s massive shoes in 2021. Uiagalelei looked solid in 2020 when Lawrence was down with Covid-19. Uiagalelei completed 66.7% of his passes for 914 yards. He threw five touchdowns to zero interceptions. 

Uiagalelei currently has the second-best odds to win the Heisman this season at +1100. He’s just behind Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler who is at +650. 

With the losses of Travis Etienne, Amari Rodgers, and Cornell Powell, the Heisman candidate will have to create chemistry with his new offensive weapons quickly.

Junior quarterback Sam Howell returns under center to lead the Heels’ offense in 2021. Howell completed 68% of his passes for 3,586 yards last season. He threw 30 touchdowns to only seven interceptions. 

In 2019, Howell ended up with 3,641 yards and 38 touchdowns to only seven interceptions. His first two seasons have been immaculate.

The Hurricanes finished the 2020 season in 3rd place in the ACC. Only Notre Dame and Clemson outplayed them. Manny Diaz and his men ended up 7-2 in conference play. 

D’Eriq King returns for his final season of eligibility after a remarkable 2020 campaign. King not only threw for 2,700 yards, but he was also 2nd in rushing yards with 538 on 130 attempts. He had 27 total touchdowns. 

The Canes go as their starting quarterback goes and look for King to have a great season. We will see just how prepared he is against a ridiculous Alabama defense in Week 1.
