When a team wins eight of its last ten, you expect some of that performance and skill to carry over into the game you are betting on.
We might need to move to a new state to find home-state magic again.
Last night, the Grizzlies gave us our first parlay loss of the week, losing as the favorite to the Chicago Bulls, while the Winnipeg Jets looks to be regaining lost form and stomped the New Jersey Devils 6-1. At least the New York Rangers won as predicted, right?
We start the week 0-1 on parlays and 1-2 on individual picks.
As of publication, no NBA games were scheduled, and only three NHL games, significantly limiting our potential betting options. With that in mind, here is our championship-regaining multi-game parlay for Monday.
Minnesota Wild over Vegas Golden Knights (-130)
The Golden Knights have won three of the last five games, are 7-3 straight-up in the last ten games, and are 5-1 in the last six meetings.
The Wild have won three of the last five games and have a 6-4 straight-up record in the last ten games.
The home team is 6-1 in the last seven games, but Vegas has won the season’s first two meetings convincingly.
We’re siding with the home favorite and taking the Wild.
Dallas Stars vs Nashville Predators Under 6.0 (-115)
The Predators are struggling to score, are 4-6 over/under in the last ten games, and have a 34-39-2 over/under record. The Stars are 6-4 over/under in the last ten games and have a 32-40–4 over/under record.
In the three previous meetings this season, all three games have ended with six goals per game or less, including two Dallas wins with five total goals scored in each game.
Nashville has only scored more than two goals twice in the last ten games.
We’re taking the under.
Arizona Coyotes versus Seattle Kraken Over 6.5 (-120)
The Yotes have lost seven-straight games, are 5-3-2 over/under in the last ten games, and have a 38-35-4 over/under record. The Kraken have alternated wins and losses in the last eight games, are 5-4-1 over/under in the last ten, and are 35-35-5 over/under.
The over is 4-0 in Arizona’s last four games against Western Conference teams and 4-1 in the Kraken’s last five against the Central division.
We’ll take the high-scoring Kraken and both teams’ poor defenses to hit the over.
