We get the seasons are winding down, but on what planet should the New York Rangers, loaded up and heading to the playoffs, lose to the non-playoff-bound St. Louis Blues? It shouldn’t have happened, but it did.

Yes, we built a same-game parlay around the New York Rangers and paid dearly for believing in the Rangers as they lost 3-2 in overtime to the Blues. The Rangers suck, and we hope they get swept in the first round.

While parity has never been higher in the NHL and NBA, we are not having any luck as the seasons wind down. None.

Yes, we mostly pick competitive and close games, but we have been on the wrong side of upsets daily, even when we pick a large home favorite.

With a heavy sporting heart and feeling like we’ll never win a parlay or our blog championship again, we enter today 0-4-1 on parlays and 2-12-1 on individual picks. We’ve done what we can and hope for the best with today’s multi-game parlay.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Milwaukee Bucks Under 228.5 (-110)

Milwaukee is apparently going to start no one of note, while Memphis has each of its key contributors listed as probable.

The Bucks are 39-41 over/under this season, while the Grizzlies are 37-42-1 over/under. In the last ten games, Memphis and Milwaukee are both 5-5 over/under.

With no Giannis and likely no Ja Morant, this game comes down to if the bench players will shoot enough to hit the over or not. We’re siding with the under in a toss-up where we question how much defense will actually be played.

New York Knicks vs New Orleans Pelicans Under 227.5 (-110)

The Kicks have a 43-36-1 over/under record, while the Pelicans are 39-42 over/under. The Kicks have hit the over in three-straight games and are 7-3 over/under in the last ten. The Pelicans are 3-7 over/under in the last ten.

The current points line of 227.5 is the highest total points line these teams have faced in a head-to-head matchup since a 235.5 line in November 2018, and they’ve hit the over in all but one game since.

With the likes of Jalen Brunson and RJ Barrett on the sidelines for the Kicks, we’re going to take the under, as this game hitting the over comes down to which teams bench can be the better shooters tonight.

Boston Celtics over Toronto Raptors (-141)

While this sounds crazy, we’re going out on a limb and taking the 50-25 Boston Celtics over the 40-40 Toronto Raptors in Boston.

The Celtics are 30-9 at home, while the Raptors are 14-26 on the road. Boston has won all three meetings this season, including a 97-93 win on April 5 in Boston.

This should be a Celtics victory. However, who plays for the Celtics is entirely a mystery and will be the difference in who gets the win on Friday night.
