Did you hear that? That noise was the sound of disappointment because we were so close yet far from hitting on our same-game parlay. That’s two same-game parlays in a row where we have come up just short.
We build our same-game parlay around the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers defeated the Indiana Pacers 112 – 111, winning on the moneyline and hitting well under the 240.5 total points line. However, the Lakers were listed at -1.5 on the spread. We were one point away from ending the parlay-winning drought.
The losing streak continues as we drop to 0-5 on daily parlays, but 8-6-1 on our individual picks for the week. We’re returning to the multi-game parlay and hope to end our losing streak, which is nearing the epic levels of the New Orleans Pelicans’ current ten-game losing streak.
Sacramento Kings over Indiana Pacers (-141)
Are we picking on the Indiana Pacers? Maybe just a little, but we need a parlay win and see an opportunity to bet against Indiana.
The Pacers were featured in yesterday’s parlay and are playing on back-to-back nights, welcoming the Pacific Division-leading Sacrament Kings on Friday night.
The Pacers have lost four-straight games and nine of the last ten. The Pacers have a 16-11 record at home.
Sacramento continues its road trip, winning the last two games in a row, three of the last five, and seven of the last ten. The Kings are a respectable 13-10 on the road. When these two teams last met, the Kings crushed the Pacers 137-114 back on November 30th, 2022.
We don’t expect anything different and expect the Pacific Division-leading Kings to leave Indiana with a third-straight win while extending the Pacers’ losing streak to five, capitalizing on Indiana’s current run of losing performances.
Utah Jazz over Atlanta Hawks (-120)
The Utah Jazz are 18-9 on home court, while Atlanta is 13-15 on the road. Utah took the first matchup this season, defeating Atlanta 125-119 back on November 9th, 2022.
Atlanta is coming off a 32-point victory against the Phoenix Suns, has won three of the last five games, and is 7-3 in the last ten.
Utah has won two straight games, three of the last five and seven of the last ten.
Both of these teams are fairly evenly matched statistically but with a sizable advantage to Utah in defensive stats. With closer odds than you’ll find for most NBA games, we’re going with the home favorite to continue to play well at home.
Take the Utah Jazz to win on the moneyline.
Phoenix Suns vs. Boston Celtics Over 221.5 (-110)
The Boston Celtics enter Friday night with a 26-25-1 over/under record, having hit the over of 221.5 in their last three games. The Celtics are 5-5 over/under in the last ten games. The over is 6-2 in the last eight games in Boston.
The Phoenix Suns have a 28-25 over/under record, have hit the over of 219.5 points or higher in the last three games, and are 7-3 over/under in the last ten games. The Suns got demolished on home court in their last game, but that is good for picking the over because the over is 4-0 in the Suns’ last four games after a double-digit loss on home court.
We’re taking the over in this one as 221.5 points seems a little low, as we expect the Celtics to put up 115 to 120 points against a struggling Suns squad.
