Action247 Multi-Game Parlay for February 5, 2023

Heading into the fourth quarter, it looked like another parlay loss, with a 2-1 record on individual picks, was going to be in the cards on Saturday. Then, the Los Angeles Lakers decided to disappoint us, losing to the New Orleans Pelicans and the game hitting the over.

New Orleans’ ten-game stretch of futility is over, but our losing streak continues, as we finished last week with an 0-7 daily parlay record and 8-12-1 record on individual picks. That means we likely have one of the more impressive runs of futility intact heading into Sunday.

Do we feel shame? Yes. Will we persevere, get back in the game, and build a multi-game parlay to end the streak and start the new week on the winning path?

We certainly hope so! Let’s see what we can cook up from Sunday’s NBA schedule.

Philadelphia 76ers over New York Knicks (-189)

The New York Knicks have been a tough team to figure out when betting on them this season. However, the Philadelphia 76ers have been a much easier and more successful bet to make more often than not.

The 76ers enter Sunday’s matchup at Madison Square Garden with a 34-17 record and a 14-9 record on the road. Philly has won four of the last five games and nine of the last ten.

The Knicks have a 28-26 record and a 13-15 record at home. The Knicks have lost three of the last five games and have a 3-7 record in the last ten.

The 76ers and Knicks have split the season series so far, with New York winning the first matchup 106-104 and Philly taking the Christmas Day matchup 119-112 in New York.

The 76ers are rolling right now and look primed to be among the contenders for the NBA Championship when the playoffs roll around. We’re taking the 76ers on the moneyline in a game they should win, having more talent on the floor and the advantage statistically overall.

Philadelphia 76ers -4.5 over New York Knicks (-115)

We’re double dipping on Broadway for our second leg of Sunday’s parlay.

In the last meeting between Philadelphia and New York, the 76ers were -2.0 favorites and covered the spread, winning the game by seven points. The 76ers are 30-21 ATS and 12-11 ATS on the road, while the Knicks are 27-25-2 ATS and 10-16-2 ATS at home.

When Philadelphia has faced a spread of -3 to -4.5 points this season, the 76ers have a 6-2-0 record. Facing the same spread as the underdog, the Knicks have a 7-6-0 record.

Philly is 4-0 ATS in the last eight games on a Sunday and 3-1-1 ATS in the last five games in New York. The Knicks are 0-8 ATS in the last eight home games against a team with a .600 winning percentage or higher on the road.

We’re going all Philly in this one, following the betting trends and recent real-world performances, and we think the 76ers should win this game by six or seven points and cover the spread.

Memphis Grizzlies over Toronto Raptors (-169)

We’ve bet against the Toronto Raptors a few times on their seven-game road trip and have had success. The Raptors finish that same road trip on Sunday night, playing their fourth game in six nights in what would have been an all-Canadian matchup once upon a time right here in Tennessee.

Neither team is lighting the world on fire or impressing the league with their recent performances. The Raptors have lost three of the last five, six of the last ten, and have a 24-30 record overall. The Grizzlies have lost four of the last five and seven of the last ten but have the better 32-20 record.

The Raptors are 9-18 outside of Toronto, while the Grizzlies have a great 21-4 record in Tennessee. When these teams last met on December 29 in Toronto, the Grizzlies walked away with a 119-106 victory.

We see history repeating itself and Memphis getting the win on the moneyline. Still, we recommend checking closer to tip-off to ensure Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. are in the lineup for the Grizzlies, who are both listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup with the Raptors.
