Action247 Multi-Game Parlay for January 16, 2023

We went 2-2 on our picks yesterday, with the Vancouver Canucks covering the spread and the Brooklyn Nets and OKC Thunder hitting the under, while the Denver Nuggets and Buffalo Bills failed to cover the spread. That brings our picks for our NFL parlay from last week to 1-1, while starting our week 0-1 but going 2-1 on our picks overall.

After going 2-4 last week and starting this week 0-1, let’s find the best games and create a winning multi-game parlay for January 16.

Phoenix Suns +10.5 to cover vs. Memphis Grizzlies (-110)

grizzlies vs suns nba bettingThe Phoenix Suns are not the same team without Devin Booker, who is still listed as out. The Suns are 2-8 in the last ten games and a 1-1 against double-digit spreads in those ten games.

The Grizzlies have won nine of the last ten games but are 0-2 against double-digit spreads. Memphis should cruise to a victory against an injury-laden Suns, but a double-digit spread is a lot to cover. We’ll take the Suns to cover a 10.5-point spread but lose the game outright.

New York Knicks over Toronto Raptors (-141)

knicks vs raptors nba bettingThe New York Knicks are only 11-11 at home, but the Raptors are 5-13 outside of Canada. The Raptors have won three of the last five games but have lost six of the last ten. The Knicks have won four of the last five games – including a 112-108 victory over the Raptors on January 6 – and seven of the last ten games.

Statistically speaking, New York has the advantage, especially defensively. There isn’t much that suggests the Raptors will win this game outright, but they can cover the spread. We’re taking the Knicks to win this game straight-up with pretty favorable odds.

Buffalo Sabres over Florida Panthers (+110)

sabres vs panthers nhl bettingThe Buffalo Sabres are the moneyline underdog, but they really shouldn’t be. Florida’s likely starting goalie is Sergei Bobrovsky, who hasn’t been very good this season with an 11-13-1 record, a 3.27 GAA, and a .896 SV%.

The Sabres have won three of the last six games while playing the Winnipeg Jets and Seattle Kraken close, losing by one goal in both games. Florida may have won four of their last six games, but those wins included wins over the Arizona Coyotes, Detroit Red Wings, and Vancouver Canucks.

We’ll take the number one offense in the NHL as the underdog to exploit the Panthers’ 23rd-ranked defense and the lesser of their two goalies. Take the Sabres to win on the moneyline.
