Sunday marked the end of our previous week and the start of a new week of parlays. The Cincinnati Bengals covered the +5.5 point spread, and the San Francisco 49ers covered the -4 point spread, finishing up our NFL parlay 2-1 on individual picks. This leaves us with a 2-5 parlay record but 12-9 on our individual picks.

Sunday’s parlay started great with the Winnipeg Jets and New Jersey Devils both scoring wins but fell apart when Dallas lost to the LA Clippers. We might be 0-1 in our parlays for the week, but we are 2-1 with individual picks. Let’s find a multi-game parlay for Monday and get our first parlay win of the week.

New York Rangers over Florida Panthers (-130)

The Florida Panthers are on a roll, having won two games in a row, four of the last five, and seven of the ten games overall. The New York Rangers are coming off a loss to the Boston Bruins but have won three of their last five games and six of the last ten overall.

Although the underdog is 12-3 in the last 15 matchups, the Panthers are 0-4 in the last four games against the Metropolitan Division and 1-4 in the last five games in New York. While neither team is likely to start its number one goalie on Monday night, we believe the Rangers are in better goaltending hands, as the Panthers will likely be starting Alex Lyons for a third-straight game.

Add the questionable status for Monday’s game for Florida’s best defenseman Aaron Ekblad – who the Panthers struggled tremendously without earlier this season – into the mix, and we like the rested Rangers to get a home victory.

Sacramento Kings +1.5 over Memphis Grizzlies (-115)

The Memphis Grizzlies have lost two games in a row after an 11-game winning streak, are playing on back-to-back nights, and are playing in their third game in four nights. Sacramento just had a six-game winning streak that ended in their last game on January 21st.

Sacramento might be 0-7 ats in the last seven games against teams with a .600 winning percentage or higher, but they are 3-0-1 ats in the last four home games against teams with a losing road record.

Memphis has an 11-12 record on the road.

We’ll take the Kings to win this game, and they’ll have to cover the spread to do so. Take the Kings +1.5 points.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Utah Jazz Over 236.5 (-115)

The Charlotte Hornets have hit the over in three straight games and five of the last six games. The Hornets have hit the over in three of the last games with a total points betting line of 235 points or higher.

Utah has hit the over in six of the last ten games but has hit the under in the last two games, including going 1-1 on total points lines over 235 points. The over is 4-0 in Utah’s last four games following a straight-up moneyline loss and 4-1 in the last five Jazz games following an ats loss.

Charlotte has the 28th-ranked defense, giving up 118.9 ppg, while Utah is ranked fourth in the NBA, averaging 117.5 ppg. Utah’s defense isn’t great, ranked 22nd and averaging 116.6 ppg. We expect both teams to score over their season averages, combining for 239 or 240 total points.
