Well, last night sure didn’t go as planned. So it goes when you create a same-game parlay around one of the more competitive games on the NBA schedule.

We built our same-game parlay around the New Orleans Pelicans winning on home court against the Sacramento Kings and hitting the over. Final score: Sacramento 121 – New Orleans 103.

Wrong. Entirely and unequivocally wrong. But so it goes in the NBA, which is seeing unprecedented parity, making winning same-game parlays extremely difficult.

That same-game parlay loss drops our weekly record to 0-2-1, with a 2-6-1 record on individual picks. Ande that title we are chasing seems to be getting further away.

Nonetheless, we’re back in the game and have our title-challenging multi-game parlay for Wednesday night.

Edmonton Oilers vs Anaheim Ducks Over 7.0 (-110)

It’s the Edmonton McDavid’s against one of the worst teams in the NHL. Take the over.

Edmonton has gone 4-4-2 over/under in the last ten games and 48-24-6 over/under overall.

Anaheim has gone 4-6 over/under in the last ten games and has a 39-35-3 over/under record.

The over is 4-0 in the last four games in Anaheim and 8-1 in the last nine meetings overall.

Winnipeg Jets over Calgary Flames (-130)

Remember, we know a lot about the Calgary Flames.

The Flames lost last night for the third time to the Chicago Blackhawks with their playoff hopes on the line. That’s inexcusable.

Calgary is playing its third game in four nights, and despite having a 6-4 record in the last, the Flames have been anything but impressive, continuing the trend of one-goal games.

Winnipeg has won two games in a row but are 5-5 in the last ten.

This one has major playoff consequences, and the Flames haven’t answered the bell this season to get any confidence in a must-win situation.

Memphis Grizzlies vs New Orleans Pelicans Under 229.0 (-110)

The Grizzlies are 36-41-1 over/under, while the Pelicans are 37-42 over/under this season.
