ACTION247: NBA and NHL Parlay for December 17, 2022

We’re still working through the first half of the NBA and NHL seasons. With a few big games scheduled today, let’s take a look at how we think three matches will play out.

Milwaukee Bucks (-5) over Utah Jazzbucks vs jazz nba betting

The Utah Jazz come into this game with a record of 17-14 and are 6-9 on the road this season. Led by Lauri Markkanen, the Jazz has won three of their last five games. The tough part, however, is that they’re facing the Milwaukee Bucks tonight. Milwaukee is one of the best teams in the league, so the Jazz will have their work cut out for them.

With an overall record of 20-8 this season, the Bucks have a record of 13-3 at home. They do have a few players sidelined in this game, however. Both Joe Ingles and Khris Middleton won’t be taking the court tonight. After a 142-101 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, the Bucks are looking to bounce back. We think they’ll win this game and cover the five-point spread as well.

New Orleans Pelicans (+3.5) over Phoenix Sunspelicans vs suns nba betting

The New Orleans Pelicans are the road team and the underdogs in this game. They have an overall record of 18-10 but haven’t done very well on the road. As a team, the Pelicans average 117.4 points per game this season. Leading the group is Zion Williamson, who averages 25.3 points per game.

The Phoenix Suns have lost four of their last five games, including two to the Pelicans. Their most recent game, however, was a win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Considering they’ve had so much trouble beating New Orleans, though, we have to take the Pelicans. The last time these two played, it went to overtime, and the Pelicans won 129-124.

Winnipeg Jets (-120) over Vancouver Canucksjets vs canucks nhl betting

The Winnipeg Jets have one of the best records in the NHL at the moment. With an overall record of 19-9-1, they rank second in the Central Division. They have an 8-4-1 record when playing on the road and average 3.31 goals per game. Even with the injuries they’ve suffered, they’re our pick to win this game.

The main reason we’re going to take the Jets is due to the Canucks defense. Their defense allows an average of 3.83 goals per game. The Canucks also have a record under .500 when playing at home this season. Look for Winnipeg to get an early lead and find a way to beat the Canucks today.
