ACTION247: NBA and NHL Parlay for October 29, 2022

The NBA and NHL continue to ramp up as we move through the first half of the year. With a few big games scheduled, let’s take a look at how we think three games will play out.

Indiana Pacers (+10) over Brooklyn Netspacers vs nets nba betting

With a 2-4 record, many might be shocked that we’re taking the Pacers tonight. However, after watching their 127-117 win over the Washington Wizards, we think they can keep this game close. On average, the Pacers are putting up 117.8 points per game. With the way the Nets have struggled, there’s a chance they could even win this game.

The Brooklyn Nets have a record of 1-4 to start the season. Yesterday they were handed their third loss in a row by the Dallas Mavericks. Prior to that, they were beaten 110-99 by the Milwaukee Bucks. Sure, they’re at home but keep in mind that they have a 1-2 record at home so far. Because of this, we’ll go with the Pacers +10 over the Brooklyn Nets.

Memphis Grizzlies (-2.5) over Utah Jazzgrizzlies vs jazz nba betting

The Memphis Grizzlies look as if they’re one of the best teams in the league right now. Today poses a tough test, however, as the Jazz are 4-2 to start the season. The Grizzlies, who are 4-1, are coming off a 125-110 win over the Sacramento Kings. They’ll carry that momentum into tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz.

Although Utah has a strong record, they did just lose to the Denver Nuggets. It’s only their second loss of the year but it’s a key reason why we aren’t taking them. The Grizzlies will only need to cover 2.5 points and that shouldn’t be a problem.

Calgary Flames (-149) over Edmonton Oilersoilers vs flames nhl betting

We’re going to switch over to the NHL for our last game. The Edmonton Oilers, who have a record of 5-3 this season, will face the 5-1 Calgary Flame. This is a tough matchup for the Oilers who have a strong offense. The only problem is their defense has allowed 3.25 goals per game.

The Calgary Flame has one of the best offenses in the NHL, averaging 3.67 goals per game. However, what we’re most impressed by is their defense which allows only 2.83 goals per game. Look for the Flame to win this one but take the moneyline instead of the puckline.
