With a 5-6-1 record this season, many likely think the Canadiens can’t win this game. Although they’ve lost their last three games this season, they definitely have a chance to. Keep in mind, this is the same team that beat the St. Louis Blues 7-4. Prior to that, they earned a 3-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres. So, don’t count out the Canadiens so quickly.

The Detroit Red Wings come into this game as -169 favorites. On average, they’re giving up 2.92 goals per game which could be their downfall here. Their most recent loss was an 8-3 loss to none other than the Buffalo Sabres. This is the same team that the Canadiens beat not long ago. So, our pick for this one is the Montreal Canadiens at +135 over the Detroit Red Wings.

New Jersey Devils (-141) over Calgary Flames

This game should be an entertaining one, especially when watching the New Jersey Devils. The Devils have a 9-3-0 record this season and are 4-2-0 at home. Heading into this game, they average 3.67 goals per game, one of the best in the league. Defensively, they’re giving up just 2.58 goals per game. So, in our opinion, this one is a pretty easy choice.

The Calgary Flames have a record of 5-4-2 this season and are 1-0-1 on the road. They score an average of 3.18 goals per game while allowing 3.36. Their defense will be the main problem here which is why we’re taking the Devils. Keep in mind the Flames have lost their last five games this season.

Philadelphia Flyers (-105) over St. Louis Blues

With a 3-7-0 record, the St. Louis Blues come into this game as -125 favorites. This is slightly surprising, considering how much they’ve struggled this season. As a team, the Blues average just 2.20 goals per game. Perhaps the worst part is that they’re giving up 3.80 goals per game this season.

The Philadelphia Flyers are a much better pick in this game, especially at their odds. They’re only favored by -105 and they have a much higher chance of winning. Look for the Flyers to come out on top tonight.
