The Edmonton Oilers suck. They lost to the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime last night, playing down to their competition and extending our losing streak. We are now 0-5 on weekly parlays and 7-12 on individual picks.
We’ve been informed that we need to take a break from our losing streak and divert our attention to a major International event this weekend for our daily parlay. We thought this was weird, but starting preparing our parlay as Formula E brings high-level motorsports back to India for the first time since 2013 with the Hyderabad ePrix!
We were told to think more locally than globally. It took a few minutes and a lot of deep thinking and research before we realized the bosses were talking about the Super Bowl!
So, we’ve put together a multi-leg parlay of some of the most important bets you will make all year long: Super Bowl Prop bets. So, we’ve narrowed down the long list of in-game props to find our prop bet picks we think are likely to hit and who will be the Super Bowl MVP. We’ll have our Super Bowl parlay ready for Sunday’s post, but we will focus on props today.
Philadelphia Eagles to Score First and Win (+185)
Whether you are taking the Philadelphia Eagles or Kansas City to win, we think the team that scores first will end up winning the game. The Eagles are the favorite, and we believe they will score on their first possession, which might be the game’s first drive, and will win the Super Bowl in the end.
There are lines for Kansas City and Philadelphia to score first and win, so take whoever you think will win the Super Bowl to score first and win.
Both Teams to Score Each Quarter – Yes (+650)
These are the two best teams in the NFL, and we think Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts will put their offenses within field goal range, if not score a touchdown in every quarter.
We’ll take Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts to put their teams in a position to score points every quarter.
Either Team to Miss a Field Goal Attempt – Yes (+145)
Just because Mahomes and Hurts are going to put their teams in position to score, that doesn’t mean that a kicker won’t miss a field goal.
Kansas City has gone 21/28 on field goals, while Philly has gone 23/25 this season.
We’re taking one of these kickers to miss a field goal attempt in the biggest game of the year.
Any Field Goal or Extra Point Attempt to Hit the Uprights or Crossbar – No (-588)
When we play Madden, we’re aggressive and go for two often. This pick is our Super Bowl prop bet equivalent of going for two and doubling down on kickers.
While we think one of these kickers will miss a field goal, we think they’ll miss the uprights altogether on any field goal or extra points. These kickers are either going to hit their marks or miss them entirely.
Super Bowl 57 MVP – Jalen Hurts (+125)
Our final leg is on who will be the Super Bowl MVP. Quarterbacks are the story going in and always have a brighter spotlight on them in the Super Bowl. Moreover, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts are going to be the most important factors in their team’s success on Sunday.
We’re taking Jalen Hurts to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl and capture the MVP in the process.
