With the NHL and NBA seasons winding down and parity at an all-time high, we had no idea what to expect last night. We were skeptical that the Boston Celtics would put a competitive enough team on the floor to beat the Toronto Raptors and stuck to two over/under picks.

Last night, the Celtics did defeat the Raptors, while the Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks crushed the over, but the New Orleans Pelicans and New York Knicks hit the under.

Although we didn’t win our parlay, we’re happy to escape with two successful picks considering our luck. With Friday’s loss, we are 0-5-1 on parlays but improve to 4-13-1 on individual picks.

We’re wrapping up our week by returning to the ice, and a Stanley Cup Finals rematch from yesteryear with a same-game parlay.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are hanging on in the Wild Card chase, one point back of the Florida Panthers and New York Islanders. The Penguins need to win this game and enter, having won three of the last five games but going 4-6 in the last ten.

The Red Wings are eliminated from playoff contention. The spoilers have won two straight and three of the last five but are also 4-6 in the previous ten.

The Red Wings won the only matchup so far this season 5-4 in overtime on December 28.
