There’s no shortage of tough action in the NBA tonight, with several games getting neck-and-neck odds. With several teams looking to find a solid rhythm, they’ll have a chance tonight as the courts get hot.
Taking a look at the options for sports bettors, there are some solid choices for them to consider. A couple of plays on the game between the L.A. Lakers and Orlando Magic could prove lucrative.
Orlando Magic -3.5 Spread (-110)
The Lakers are 1-4 in their last five games on the road; the only win came against the Detroit Pistons, who are 8-28 on the season. On the other hand, the Magic are excelling at home, where they have won five straight, covering the line in all of those games.
Los Angeles is averaging 115.7 points per game, which puts them in seventh place. The defense has been ineffective, giving up a minimum of 130 points in each of the last three games. As a result, and because of the Magic’s continued successes, backing Orlando on the spread is a strong bet.
Under 235 (-110)
The Magic can put up the points tonight. If it were a different time for the Lakers, they could, as well. However, they’re still playing without Anthony Davis and have given away over 130 points in their last four games.
Orlando has been able to put up an average of 120 across their last six, but the Lakers won’t be able to make up the difference as they continue in their slump.
Orlando Magic To Win As Favorites (-159)
The Lakers have taken four losses in a row, including an embarrassing stumble against the Sacramento Kings and another versus the Charlotte Hornets. However, the Magic are on a hot streak.
They’ve taken eight of their last nine, including two victories against the first-place Boston Celtics. They’ve also won five in a row at home and show no signs of slowing down tonight.
