Action247 Same-Game Parlay for February 15, 2023

If you are a fan of combat sports, you know not all title reigns are legendary, and many don’t make it past a first title defense. We were the reigning blog parlay betting champions heading into last night, and, as fighting champs that had entirely forgotten the long losing streak we were on, we were confident and intent on defending that title nightly.

That lasted one night.

We got deep into the night with our championship hopes still intact, with the New York Knicks getting the road win in Atlanta over the Hawks while the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, late in the fight, up on the scorecards, we got hit with a body blow out of nowhere: the Colorado Avalanche – who we have been big advocates of in our circles all season long – put injury concerns to the side and defeated the Minnesota Wild.

The Avs win ended our winning streak and took the completely real blog parlay betting championship away from us. We are now 1-3 on daily parlays for the week and 7-6 on individual picks. However, we have a nightly rematch clause in our contract and are back in the fight tonight and returning to the bets bringing us the best results: the same-game parlay.

While we found one game on the NBA schedule that we can explore, we want our title back, and we’re returning to the best hockey team.

As it turns out, the best team in hockey is on display tonight here in Tennessee.

Boston Bruins over Nashville Predators (-179)

predators vs bruins nhl bettingAs you know, the Boston Bruins are the best team in hockey, with a 40-8-5 record. The Bruins are on pace to challenge the record for most wins in a season (62 – 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings, 2018-19 Tampa Bay Lightning).

Nashville’s 25-20-6 record has the Preds ranked fifth in the Central Division and fighting for the final two spots in the Western Conference playoff picture. Nashville is currently on the outside looking in, while Boston is the clear and away Stanley Cup favorite.

The Bruins have won two of the last three games and are 6-4 in the last ten games. The Predators have lost two of the last three games but also have a 6-4 record in the last ten games.

But these two teams are not even at all. We’ll get into how uneven these two teams are offensively in the next leg of our bet. Defensively, all you need to know is that the Bruins have the number-one-ranked defense and penalty-killing unit in the NHL.

Boston is 4-1 in the last five games against Nashville, and the favorite is 18-4 in the last 22 head-to-head matchups.

We could go on and on, but we’ll keep it succinct: take Boston on the moneyline.

Boston Bruins -1.5 over Nashville Predators (+130)

predators vs bruins nhl bettingNashville’s offense is an issue, ranked 26th overall (2.75 goals per game) while having one of the worst powerplay units in the NHL, ranked 29th and converting at 16.5%.

On the other hand, Boston is one of the best offensive teams in the league, ranked third and averaging 3.66 goals per game, and has the seventh-ranked powerplay.

Nashville won’t score more than two goals in this game, considering the combination of their scoring struggles and Boston’s goaltending. While David Pastrnak and the Bruins are going to score at least three goals, but Juuse Soros and the Preds’ defense is good enough to keep this game close and low-scoring.

However, we think Boston is going to win 3-1, 3-2, or 4-1 and are hedging our bets that Boston covers the spread. The Bruins have a 32-21 ats record, while the Predators are 25-26 ats.

Take the Bruins -1.5 on the puck line spread.

Boston Bruins vs. Nashville Predators Under 5.5 (-130)

predators vs bruins nhl bettingBoston is giving up 2.11 goals per game, and Nashville struggles to score, ranked 29th and averaging 2.75 goals per game. Yes, the total goals line is low, but 5.5 is becoming the norm for Bruins over/under lines, considering the unreal goaltending they are getting.

The Bruins have faced a 5.5 total goals line six times in the last ten games, and the under is 6-0. The under of 5.5 is 2-0 in the last ten Predators’ games. Further, the Bruins and Stars hit the under of 5.5 in our last same-game parlay.

We’re taking the under in another Bruins win.
