The losing streak continues, and with that, we say goodbye and goodnight.

You didn’t think we were serious, right? Despite our daily parlay losing streak continuing to incredible levels of futility and dropping out weekly parlay record to 0-3, we were very close to hitting yesterday’s multi-game parlay that featured one pick on each of the betting lines.

The Edmonton Oilers and Detroit Red Wings hit the over, and New Orleans covered the -4 point spread against the Atlanta Hawks. Yet, despite controlling most of the game and holding the lead for much of the game, the Colorado Avalanche lost in overtime to the Pittsburgh Penguins and backup goalie Casey DeSmith. Sometimes, that’s just how it is.

With a 3-6 record on individual picks, we are turning our focus to a same-game parlay, hoping to bring our individual picks record to 6-6 and end this horrible losing skid once and for all. However, we don’t back down from a challenge and have picked one of the best games and likely most competitive games of the night.

Let’s head to Boston, shall we?

Boston Celtics over Philadelphia 76ers (-189)

We don’t shy away from a challenge and have chosen a game between the two best teams in the NBA’s Eastern Conference to try and end our losing streak.

The Celtics have a 38-16 record and are 20-7 at home. The 76ers have a 34-18 record and are 14-10 on the road. Boston won the only other meeting this season 126-117 back on October 18.

Philly lost their last game to the New York Knicks 108-97 but have an 8-2 record in the last ten games. Boston has won three of the last four games and has won six of the last ten. The statistical splits favor the Celtics, although the 76ers are the third-best perimeter shooting team and second-best perimeter defense in the NBA and will challenge the Celtics on three-point shots.

We’re taking Boston to get a narrow win on home court in what could be an Eastern Conference Finals preview.

Philadelphia 76ers +5 over the Boston Celtics (-115)

The 76ers are 7-2 ats in the last nine meetings with Boston while going 4-1 ats in their last five road games. Philly has a 30-22 ats record, while Boston is 27-26-1 ats.

The 76ers have only faced a spread of 5-7 points as the underdog once this season, going 1-0 ats, while the Celtics have a 2-6 ats record when facing a 5-7 point spread as the favorite.

This game will be very close and could come down to the final shot. Philly keeps this close and covers the +5-point spread.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics Over 224.0 points (-110)

In their only meeting this season, the total points line was set at 216.5 points, and the 76ers and Celtics combined for 243 points.

Philadelphia has a 30-22 over/under record on the season and 5-5 over/under in the last ten. Boston has a 27-26-1 over/under record and 4-6 over/under in the last ten games.

Although these are two of the better defensive teams in the league, these are also two of the best offenses in the league, and we think this game should eclipse 224.0 points, landing somewhere around 228 to 230 points.
