Hitting a parlay is a mix of excitement of winning and relief that your picks panned out and hit a big win. When your parlay fails by one leg, there is no other feeling but disappointment. Last night the New York Rangers and Sacramento Kings did their part, giving us two wins.

However, the Charlotte Hornets and Utah Jazz failed to hit the over, crushing our hopes of hitting our parlay. While we are 0-2 on our weekly parlays, we are 4-2 on our individual picks.

We’ve had some recent success on NHL same-game parlays, with the Carolina Hurricanes and Buffalo Sabres getting us big wins in recent memory. We’ve scanned the NBA and NHL schedules for tonight and think we’ve found a single-game parlay to improve our record to 1-2 on parlays and 7-2 on overall picks.

New Jersey Devils over Vegas Golden Knights (-169)

The New Jersey Devils host the Vegas Golden Knights in what should be a very competitive game. The Devils are currently second in the Metropolitan Division, while the Golden Knights are ranked first in the Pacific division.

Vegas is struggling and playing its third game in four nights and have lost four of the last five games. Conversely, New Jersey has won four of the last five games.

The Golden Knights have been the favorite in the last five games, and the favorite has gone 4-1 in the last five head-to-head matchups.

The statistical breakdowns all favor the Devils: New Jersey is ranked third in the league, giving up 2.6 goals per game, compared to Vegas, ranked 12th overall, giving up 2.9 goals per game.

Offensively, the Devils are averaging 3.5 goals per game and are ranked sixth in the league. Carolina is averaging 3.2 goals per game and is ranked 14th overall.

New Jersey should get a home win against a struggling Golden Knights squad without Mark Stone, and that lost their last game against the Arizona Coyotes.

New Jersey Devils -1.5 over Vegas Golden Knights (+130)

In the Golden Knights’ last five games, three games have ended in a 1.5-goal spread. New Jersey has played in three straight games, but their previous two wins have covered a -1.5 goal spread.

New Jersey isn’t going to overtime with the Golden Knights in this one and should win by at least a 1.5-goal spread.

Vegas Golden Knights vs. New Jersey Devils Under (+100)

New Jersey was on a run of seven straight games, hitting the over before their last game.

The over is 4-0-1 in the last five games against the Pacific Division and 4-0-1 against the Pacific division. However, the under is 5-0-1 in the last six games after scoring two goals or less in their previous game.

The under is 7-0 in the last seven games following a loss of three or more goals and 5-0 in the Golden Knights’ last five road games.

We’re expecting a 3-1 or 4-1 New Jersey win, hitting the under in the process.
