Action247 Same-Game Parlay for June 6, 2023

Last night, we built our multi-game parlay around two South Florida teams, with two legs dedicated to game two of the Stanley Cup Finals. Unfortunately, much like what the Stanley Cup Finals is turning into, it wasn’t a close affair.

We took the Florida Panthers to win and even the series. They definitely didn’t, losing 7-2 to the Vegas Golden Knights. The Golden Knights now have a 2-0 Stanley Cup Finals series lead over the Panthers.

However, we selected game two to hit the over of 6.0 total goals. We did not anticipate VGK hitting the over by themselves, nor did we see Sergei Bobrovsky’s play falling off completely as it has.

While we went 1-1 on our Stanley Cup Finals picks, we also selected the Miami Marlins to win at home over the Kansas City Royals. The Marlins defeated the Royals, giving us a 2-1 record yesterday, a 3-3 record on individual picks, but an 0-2 record on parlays.

Tampa Bay Rays over Minnesota Twins (-179)

Minnesota has a 13-15 road record, while Tampa Bay has a 26-6 home record. The Twins have lost two straight games but are 5-5 in the last ten games. On the other hand, the Rays have won three straight and four of the last five but are only 6-4 in the previous ten games.

Tampa Bay is starting right-handed pitcher Zach Eflin (7-1, 3.30 ERA, 1.00 WHIP), who we’re giving the advantage to over Minnesota’s Louie Varland (3-1, 3.51 ERA, 1.15 WHIP).

More importantly, The Rays are averaging 5.89 runs/9 innings compared to the Twins’ 4.45 runs/9 innings.

There is no head-to-head data from this season. The last time the Rays and Twins played a series was in June 2022, with Minnesota taking the series 2-1 at home.

We’re taking the Tampa Bay Rays to win on the moneyline.

Tampa Bay Rays -1 over Minnesota Twins (-130)

The Rays are 35-27 ats, while the Twins are 31-29 ats.

Four of Minnesota’s last five losses were by more than one run, while five of Tampa Bay’s six recent wins have been by more than one run.

We’re taking the Rays to win by at least two runs.

Minnesota Twins versus Tampa Bay Rays Under 8 (-120)

The Rays and Twins both have a 4-6 over/under record in the last ten games.

Tampa Bay is 35-24-3 over/under this season, while Minnesota has a 25-31-4 over/under record.

We’re not sold on the Twins’ offense pulling their end and for this game to hit the over.

We’ll take the under of 8.0.
