Action247 Same-Game Parlay for June 9, 2023

Last night, we built our same-game parlay around game three of the Stanley Cup Finals, simply hoping the Florida Panthers would bounce back and make the Stanley Cup Finals competitive.

The Panthers gave us all hope for the rest of the Stanley Cup Finals with a gutsy, come-from-behind 3-2 overtime win, with Matthew Tkachuk scoring the game-tying goal in the third and Carter Verhaeghe scoring the overtime winner.

Kids, we might have a Stanley Cup Finals on our hands after all.

As for our same-game parlay, we selected the Florida Panthers to win on the moneyline and picked the Vegas Golden Knights to cover the spread, regardless of the game’s outcome. That’s two wins in the first two legs of our same-game parlay.

However, in leg three, we followed the trends and selected the over of 6.0, expecting a 4-3 final score. Unfortunately, with a 3-2 final score and with five total goals, that’s a loss.

With yesterday’s parlay loss, our weekly record drops to 1-4 on parlays but 9-6 on individual picks.

We’re staying in South Florida but moving to the NBA Finals to start Friday’s same-game parlay, moving our next multi-game parlay to Saturday’s NHL and MLB action.

Miami Heat over Denver Nuggets (+130)nuggets vs heat nba betting

The Miami Heat must win game four, or the Denver Nuggets will likely win the NBA Championship in game five on home court.

Part of the reason we’re picking the Miami Heat to win game four is we want to see a six or seven-game series, and while the Heat have been road warriors in the 2023 playoffs, the Nuggets have been outstanding on the home court, whether it’s been in the regular season or playoffs.

As for game four, Miami is 6-3 on home court in the playoffs, while Denver is 5-3 on the road. The road team is 3-2 in the head-to-head series, while Denver holds a 4-1 head-to-head advantage.

And we don’t care that the stats, trends, and logic favor the Denver Nuggets! We’re taking the Miami Heat to win on home court and even the NBA Finals 2-2 because that’s what we all want to happen.

Miami Heat +3.5 over Denver Nuggets (-110)

Since we’re taking the Heat to win as the moneyline underdog, we’re also taking Miami to cover the spread of +3.5 in a winning effort.

However, in the four games Denver has won against Miami this season, the Nuggets have covered at least a 3.5-point spread in all four games and are 5-0 ats in the last five games in Miami.

Nonetheless, we want to see at least a six-game series, and Miami needs to cover the spread to win.

Denver Nuggets versus Miami Heat Over 210.5 (-110)

The over is 5-2 in the previous seven games in Miami and 6-2 in the last eight meetings.

However, the under is 2-1 in the NBA Finals, with both games hitting the under, coming nowhere close to 210.5 total points.

The Nuggets are averaging 111.4 points against the Heat this season, while Miami is averaging 105.0 ppg against Denver.

While we don’t expect back-to-back triple-doubles, Denver will score around its NBA Finals average of 107 points, while Miami will hit triple-digits for its final score total.

It’ll be close, but we’re taking the Heat and Nuggets to barely hit the over.
