Action247 Same-Game Parlay for March 2, 2023

We try to have a lot of fun here in the parlay betting blog. We want to give you a slice of nonsense, a laugh, and a successful parlay for your sports betting ticket. However, nothing drains our fun and nonsense more than the NBA.

We love the NBA, but night after night, there is seemingly no such thing as a lock, with betting favorites going down regularly and teams being entirely unpredictable on if they will shoot the lights out and hit the over or actually play a lower-scoring tight game. Then factor in who may or may not be in the lineup, and you have a somewhat unpredictable mess.

Last night, the Portland Trail Blazers we the moneyline favorite at home and had the lead at the half. Yet, in the fourth quarter, Portland’s production dropped off, and the New Orleans Pelicans outshot the Trail Blazers and cruised to an 11-point win.

At least we have the McDavids to keep us sane with their predictability, hitting the over with the Toronto Maple Leafs last night. Although, the Carolina Hurricanes lost another game, giving us two losses on the night. With a 1-2 record yesterday, we are now 0-4 on our daily parlays and 6-6 on individual picks.

Today we return to the same game parlay, hoping for more success and to regain the championship that the house is placing on a mantle and dusting, figuring we’ll never win it back. We’re determined to win and have various games to choose from.

We might be going mad with the NBA, and while we have some NHL games we can focus on, we keep the difficulty level high around these parts and head to hardwood for our same game parlay.

Philadelphia 76ers over Dallas Mavericks (+135)

As mentioned, the Philadelphia 76ers played last night in Miami. Philly has won four of the last five games and has a 7-3 straight-up record. The 76ers are 16-11 on the road.

On the other hand, the Dallas Mavericks are playing their fourth straight game at home and have a 20-12 home record, but have lost the last two games and four of the last five. The Mavericks have a 5-5 record in the last ten.

Philadelphia has the better record and better recent performances and has done it with Joel Embiid recently, who is questionable for Wednesday night. We’re taking Philly as the road underdog as we have not been overly impressed with Dallas recently: the Mavs’ only win in the last five games was against the San Antonio Spurs, while they have dropped close games to much stronger competition.

Philadelphia 76ers +3.5 over Dallas Mavericks (-100)

The 76ers are the better team at covering the spread, with a 4-1 ats record in the last five and a 36-25 ats record overall. Philly is 3-4 ats facing a 3 – 4.5 spread as the underdog.

Dallas has a 1-4 ats record in the last five and a 23-38-2 ats record overall. However, three of the Mavericks’ last four losses have been by three points or less. Dallas has a 3-2 ats record as a 3 – 4.5 point favorite.

We’re taking the underdog to win on the moneyline, and they will have to cover the spread to win. Take Philly +3.5.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Dallas Mavericks Under 228.0 (-110)

The under is 4-0 in the 76ers’ last four games overall and in the last four road games, while the under is 5-0 in the last five 76ers’ games that are the second half of a back-to-back situation. Philly has a 32-28-1 over/under record.

The under is 5-0 in the Mavericks’ last five games against teams with a winning record. Dallas has a 3-2 over/under record in the last five games and a 35-28 over/under record overall.

The under is 5-0 in the last five matchups between Dallas and Philadelphia.
