Brooklyn Nets Travel to New York to Face the Knicks
The Brooklyn Nets are recently coming off a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Gaining momentum has been a tough task for the Nets, but they need to shake it off. This game against the Knicks will be a chance for them to get a win and move up in the conference.
They can’t keep losing games, or they could find themselves in the “play-in” position. Everyone wants to avoid that.
The New York Knicks were eliminated from playoff contention recently. However, this team isn’t one to give up just because they won’t be in the playoffs. They have a chance to get a big win over their New York counterparts on Wednesday.
Unfortunately, at the moment, Julius Randle is listed as “out.” With the star power forward on the sidelines, stopping Durant is going to be hard.
Game Preview: Brooklyn Nets at New York Knicks Game Preview April 6th
The Brooklyn Nets are bringing an intense offense to this game tonight. They have multiple scorers, but most notably Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. With these two superstars, the Nets average 112.42 points per game, ranking ninth in the NBA.
However, this offense was absent when they faced the Milwaukee Bucks recently. The Nets were dealt a 120-119 loss at home.
The New York Knicks are coming off of a loss as well against the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets came to New York and beat the Knicks 125-114. One of the best things about the Knicks is their defense, which struggled against the Hornets.
Usually, their defense is among the best in the NBA. On average, they allow 106.99 points per game, ranking eighth in the NBA.
Brooklyn Nets at New York Knicks Betting Prediction
On March 13th, 2022, these two teams faced each other, and the Nets were playing at home. Brooklyn came in as 5.5-point favorites but failed to cover the spread. It would seem as if their offense couldn’t get past the tough defense of the Knicks.
Brooklyn won the game 110-107, so that’s important. However, it’s more important to note that they failed to cover the spread.
This time, they’ll have Kyrie Irving in the lineup with them, so the Nets will be favored more. With Irving in the lineup, the Nets are also a much better team. The key to betting on this game is how much the Nets are favored.
If they come in as eight-point favorites and over, we’d take the Knicks to cover the spread. If the spread is around 6.5-points, we’d take the Brooklyn Nets.
We’d recommend taking the under in this game, especially with the Knicks’ defense. With Julius Randle potentially out, expect Kevin Durant to have a fantastic game. The Nets are 22-15-2 against the spread when traveling and have a 40-37 record against the total.
