The Orlando Magic Play Host to the Brooklyn Nets

It’s no secret that the Brooklyn Nets are one of the best teams in the NBA. The only problem they’ve struggled with is the health of their players. Now that Kevin Durant is back in action, along with Kyrie Irving, they’re ready to take over. Their recent acquisitions have gone really well. Even losing James Harden hasn’t seemed like much of a concern. Now, they’ll face Orlando.

Nestled at the bottom of the Eastern Conference is the Orlando Magic. They’ve yet to win over 20 games and are likely hoping that the end of the year will come soon. Unfortunately, this basketball team hasn’t been able to really get their gears in motion. They’re a young team; however, that has a high ceiling. If they can get a win over Brooklyn, it’ll definitely boost morale.

Obviously, the Nets will come into this game as heavy favorites. We’ll go into more details on the potential spread below. However, what we need to talk about is how well the Nets did against the No.2 team in the East. They faced the Philadelphia 76ers, with Joel Embiid and Harden, and won 129-100. This was a huge victory for the Nets and proved they won the trade.

The most notable win for the Magic recently was a 108-102 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Magic desperately needed a win, and they were able to secure one on the road. The main problem for the Magic is their defense. On average, they allow over 111 points per game, one of the worst in the NBA. Beating Irving and Durant won’t be possible without a strong defense.

Brooklyn Nets at Orlando Magic Betting Prediction

As we mentioned above, the Nets are going to be heavy favorites in this game. They have an incredible offense with the defense to match, and the Magic can’t keep up. The last time these two played, the Nets were dealing with significant injuries. However, they still came into the game as 5.5-point favorites. Unfortunately, they lost the game 93-100 while playing at home.

This time, we don’t see the game going in that direction. It’ll be likely that the Nets are favored by over ten points. However, regardless of the spread, you have to take the Nets in this one. After beating the 76ers by 29 points, there’s no reason not to trust them here. The Nets are healthy, they’re communicating, and their bench is putting up points as well. 

Finally, when deciding whether to bet the over or under, take the Magic’s defense into consideration. They allowed the Grizzlies to score 124 points but held the Suns to just 102. However, the Suns were dealing with significant injuries at the time, so keep that in mind. When these two last faced, the total was set at 211. We’d take the over for this one if it’s near that.
