NBA Look Ahead for Friday, Jan 21 and Sunday Jan 23, 2022

More NBA action is on the way as the season ramps towards the All-Star break. Although we aren’t quite there yet, playoff positioning is beginning to take shape.

This week, we have five entertaining games that we’re going to preview for you. Each of these games features some of the best teams from their respective conferences. We’ll start with a visit to the Brooklyn Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Brooklyn Nets at Minnesota Timberwolves; Sun Jan 23, 2022; 7:00pm CT

Our final game of the week is the Brooklyn Nets at the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Nets have a great record of 27-15 and are No.2 in the Eastern Conference.

However, they were dealt a serious blow when Kevin Durant suffered a sprained MCL. He’ll be out for quite a while, seriously hurting the Nets’ chances at covering the spread here. 

Brooklyn has been awful against the spread this season; currently, they have a 16-25-1 ATS record. With such a poor record and Kevin Durant being out, the Timberwolves look like the better bet.

They’re 22-20 ATS right now and have an 8-2 ATS record in their last ten games against Brooklyn. Go with the home team to cover the spread and win on Sunday.
