Celtics at Thunder Betting Preview and Predictions

Boston Celtics Travel to Oklahoma to Face the Thunder

As the Boston Celtics prepare to face the Oklahoma City Thunder, they stand at No.4 in the Eastern Conference. This team has been fantastic lately, recently claiming a big win over the Golden State Warriors.

Being able to take down Golden State isn’t an easy feat, but the Celtics can’t get comfortable. They have another game they need to win when they face the Thunder.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are second to last in the Western Conference. Although this year didn’t go the way they had planned it, they still have a strong young core.

They’ve been on a string of losses recently, but they were able to beat the Denver Nuggets. If they can recapture what it took to beat the Nuggets, they might have a shot at winning here, especially at home.

Game Preview: Boston Celtics at Oklahoma City Thunder March 21st

Jayson Tatum averages 26.8 points per game for the Boston Celtics. He’s the leader on offense, but he’s also been getting help from players such as Marcus Smart.

Boston is getting hot at the right time as we ramp toward the NBA playoffs. A win over the Thunder would put Boston closer to moving up to the third spot in the East. A loss, however, would set the team back quite a bit.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have the league’s worst offense. On average, the Thunder are only putting up 102.75 points per game. With an offense that lacks cohesion and any real shooters, they come in at a disadvantage.

This shouldn’t be much of a surprise, but they’re also heavy underdogs. So, between these two teams, who’s the better pick to cover the spread Monday?

Boston Celtics at Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Prediction

These two teams haven’t faced each other in five months; their last game was in November. The Celtics came in as heavy favorites in that game as well at -9. Oklahoma City proved to be a tough test for the Celtics, who barely won 111-105.

They failed to cover the spread, and the Celtics had the added benefit of being at home. So, what does that mean for Monday night?

For starters, the Celtics are much better now than they were then. They’re also 18-16 when playing on the road with a 19-15 ATS road record. The Thunder, on the other hand, is awful when playing at home, going 9-26 this year.

Because of this, we’ll still take the Boston Celtics to pull off a win here. If they come in as nine-point favorites, we’ll also take them against the spread.

Boston is playing its best basketball right now, and their win over the Warriors proves that. Jayson Tatum is leading this team with a purpose into the NBA playoffs.

They should be able to cover and take down the Thunder with ease on Monday. We’d also take the over here since the Thunder struggle to stop strong offenses.
