Cleveland Browns Betting Odds 21-22 Season

The Cleveland Browns had an outstanding year in 2020, going 11-5 and reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2002. The Browns even upset Pittsburgh on the road in the Wild Card game, and nearly went into Arrowhead Stadium and knocked off the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round. Head coach Kevin Stefanski was named Coach of the Year in his first season as head coach of Browns, and both OT Jack Conklin and DE Myles Garrett were named to the All-Pro first team. 

The Browns only went 6-10 against the spread last season, so they weren’t a great team to bet on in the NFL. They were 9-7 in terms of the over/under, however. 

The breakthrough of Baker Mayfield in 2020 played a large factor in Cleveland finally getting over the hump. The former first overall pick threw for over 4,600 yards and only accumulated six interceptions.Browns fans will hope this is the Mayfield they’re getting for the long run after the 24-year-old struggled mightily the season prior. It will be interesting to see how wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. performs in 2021. Beckham only played in seven games last season after tearing his ACL in a game against the Bengals.

In the offseason, the Browns cut defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson, but added safety John Johnson and three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Jadaveon Clowney. Cleveland also drafted defensive back Greg Newsome with the 26th overall pick at the draft. Newsome was an absolute stud at Northwestern and has been considered a massive steal by Browns GM Andrew Berry.
