NFC Championship Outlook

Guys, I feel like we’ve gotten to know each other pretty well over the course of the season, which means you know I’m a pretty humble guy. That being said, I am the hottest NFL gambler alive. I did well in the Wild Card Round (4-2) and then proceeded to crush the Divisional Round with a 3-1 record. That makes my Playoff record 7-3 through 10 games (I’m also a math wiz). Red hot. We’re going to keep it going into Conference Championship weekend. Let’s ride.

San Francisco 49ers +3.5 vs. Las Angeles Rams

The 49ers were doubted for about the past month, yet here they are, just one win away from a Super Bowl appearance. They have been relying on Kyle Shanahan’s scheme and their stout defense to match up against more talented opponents, and there are few teams they match up better against than the Rams. The Niners are currently riding a six game winning streak over their division rival. I know LA has looked very impressive in their last two wins, but I think San Fran could get their seventh win in a row here.

The Rams pass rush has been very impressive on paper the last couple weeks, but they haven’t exactly faced an elite offensive front yet. The Cardinals stink and the Bucs had some injuries up front. The Niners have the offensive line to keep their pass rush at bay. In their two regular season matchups, the Rams only got to the quarterback four times. The Rams run game has not been effective in the playoffs which means this one could be Stafford’s game to win. That could be problematic for them given that San Fran ranks 6th in passing yards allowed this season.

NFC Championship Predictions

All the trends point to the 49ers being the play. We already know they’ve won the last six games in this matchup, but they have also covered the spread in seven of the last 10 games in this series. They are also 4-1 ATS in their last five games on the road, so playing their fourth straight road game should not phase them. Especially in LA where they have covered the spread in five of their last six trips.

Underdogs have prevailed in the NFC Championship lately. Three of the last four NFC Champions were underdogs coming into the game. San Francisco is peaking at the right time and probably the most complete football of the four teams left standing. Even if Los Angeles Rams wins this game, I see it coming down to a field goal game. Take the Niners.

I am so excited for this weekend. Not just because of the football, but because of all the money we are going to win. We are going to ride into the Super Bowl on a 2-0 Conference Championship weekend. Pray for your bookie.
