Seattle Mariners vs. Baltimore Orioles – 7:05 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners begin their series against the Baltimore Orioles today. The Mariners have a record of 20-28 but are 8-18 when playing on the road this season. Their last game was a 2-1 loss to the Houston Astros. On the mound tonight is George Kirby, who has an 0-1 record as a starter this season.
The Baltimore Orioles have yet to name their starter for tonight’s game. However, they’re carrying a lot of momentum after beating the Boston Red Sox 10-0 yesterday. The Orioles have won three of their last five games and have put up a lot of runs lately. The one thing we’d make sure to do here is take the over.
Los Angeles Angels vs. New York Yankees – 7:05 PM ET
Starting at the same time as the game above is the match between the Angels and Yankees. The Los Angeles Angels have a 27-22 record and are second in the AL West. Tonight, they face the New York Yankees, who are 31-15 and first in the AL East. On the mound for the Angels is Noah Syndergaard, who has an impressive 4-2 record.
The Yankees will start Jordan Montgomery, who is still 0-1 this season. Montgomery has an ERA of 3.30, only slightly worse than Synergaard’s 3.08. The Angels also have the edge over the Yankees in terms of batting. New York has a team batting average of .237 while the Angles are at .251. We’ll take the Angels +115 tonight over the Yankees.
Edmonton Oilers vs. Colorado Avalanche – 8:00 PM ET
Moving over into the NHL, we’ll see Game 1 of the West Finals. In tonight’s game, the Edmonton Oilers will face off against the Colorado Avalanche. The Oilers, fresh off of their series win over the Calgary Flames, will have their work cut out. The Avalanche average 3.76 goals per game and did well against St. Louis.
It won’t be a walk in the park for the Colorado Avalanche either,. The Oilers took out the Flames, considered one of the best in the NHL. Edmonton also averages 3.48 goals per game while allowing only 3.06. This is going towill be an exciting Game 1, however. However, we think the home team will come away with the win.
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs – 8:05 PM
Beginning shortly after the West Finals in the NHL is another great MLB game. The Brewers, 32-18 and first in the NL Central, face the 19-29 Chicago Cubs. The last two games have gone to the Brewers, with yesterday’s score ending at 3-1. On the mound for the Brewers, today is Eric Lauer, who is one of their best pitchers.
With a record of 5-1, Lauer is easily one of the best starting pitchers right now. His ERA of 2.31 also ranks highly in Major League Baseball. The Chicago Cubs will send Justin Steele out to the mound, who is 1-5 this season. With Steele on the mound, we don’t see the Cubs coming away with a win here. We’ll go with the Brewers -130 in today’s game.
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Los Angeles Dodgers – 10:10 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Pirates are 20-27 and facing one of the best teams in the league. They’ll continue their series against the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight after a surprising win. Yesterday, the Pirates took down the Dodgers 6-5 even though they had Walker Buehler on the mound. This was a massive win for the Pirates, and they’ll look to do it again today.
The Los Angeles Dodgers need to find a way to bounce back from yesterday’s loss. They’ll send Julio Urias out to the mound today; Urias has a record of 3-4. Although he’s under .500 this season, he has a much better record than Pirates SP Mitch Keller. Keller has a record of 1-5 this season with a 6.05 ERA. Take the Dodgers to win this one at home.
