Anaheim Ducks Travel to New York to Face the Islanders

The Anaheim Ducks will head to the UBS Arena on Sunday evening to take on the New York Islanders in a non-conference matchup. This will be the second and final regular-season matchup after the Islanders picked up a 4-0 road victory on February 27.

The Ducks are currently fifth in the Pacific Division (27-23-9, 63 points), while the Islanders are sitting at sixth in the Metropolitan Division (21-24-8, 50 points).

These two teams have been hovering around .500 this season, and they are very similar so far. Let’s take a deeper dive into Anaheim and New York to determine the better option to bet on this game.

These offenses have been close enough to one another as Anaheim is averaging 3.5 goals in their previous four games while New York is scoring three goals in that same stretch. The fact that the Islanders have both left winger Anders Lee and defenseman Zdeno Chara out as they are both on Injured Reserve is going to be huge for this game.

It is extremely difficult to sweep an opponent for the season, especially with them being so close to another in terms of their records. The Ducks have been doing well on the puck line with a 35-24 record against the spread, while the Islanders are a brutal 22-31 against the spread.
