Ducks at Rangers Betting Preview and Predictions

Anaheim Ducks Travel to New York to Face the Rangers

The Anaheim Ducks will head to Madison Square Garden on Tuesday evening to take on the New York Rangers in a non-conference matchup.

This will be the second and final regular-season match against one another. The Rangers were able to pick up a 4-1 road victory over the Ducks on January 8.

The Ducks are sixth in the Pacific Division (27-24-3, 63 points), while the Rangers are sitting at second in the Atlantic Division (36-17-5, 77 points) this season.

These two teams are both doing pretty well this season, so it will be an interesting matchup here. Let’s look more into Anaheim and New York to determine where we should be betting on the puck line in this game.

Game Preview: Anaheim Ducks at New York Rangers March 15

The Ducks have been doing pretty well offensively as a team as they are averaging 2.87 goals on 29.7 shot attempts per game, while the Rangers are right around there with 2.91 goals on 28.6 shots this season.

Anaheim is being led by center Troy Terry as he is tied for 15th in the NHL in goals. He has recorded 49 points (28 goals, 21 assists) and scored four points in his previous five games.

Compare that to the production provided by left winger Artemi Panarin as he is tied for 15th in the NHL in points and sixth in assists. He has scored 63 points (15 goals, 43 assists) with four points added in his previous three games.

Anaheim should have goaltender John Gibson inside of the net as he is a pedestrian 17-17-8 with three goals and a 90.7 save percentage. New York will have goalie Igor Shesterkin in the goal; he is a dominant 28-7-3 with a 93.9 save percentage and 2.02 goals allowed. As a team, the Ducks are allowing 3.12 goals on 32.9 shot attempts while the Rangers are giving up 2.55 goals per game on 28.6 shots.

Anaheim Ducks at New York Rangers Betting Prediction

Looking at the offensive output provided in the previous handful of games, the Ducks are scoring just 2.3 goals in their previous three games while the Rangers are averaging 3.2 goals in their last five games.

Shesterkin in the net for New York should be enough as he has been arguably the best goalie in the entire National Hockey League, and the Rangers dominated in Anaheim in January. The Rangers are currently 29-29 against the spread this season, while the Ducks are an incredible 35-25 against the spread.

All in all, go with the New York Rangers to cover the puck line in their home building.
