Philadelphia Flyers Travel to St. Louis to Face the Blues

The Philadelphia Flyers will head to the Enterprise Center on Thursday night to take on the St. Louis Blues in an Eastern Conference vs Western Conference showdown.

This will be the second and final matchup between these franchises in the regular season. In their previous bout, St. Louis picked up a 4-1 road win back on February 22nd.

The Flyers are sitting at seventh in the Metropolitan Division (19-31-11, 49 points) and could be looking towards the NHL Draft while the Blues are second in the Central Division (34-18-9, 77 points) and trying to solidify their playoff positioning. 

There seems to be a big difference in terms of talents, and this is going to be an interesting matchup. Let’s take a closer look at both the Flyers and the Blues to determine where we should be placing our wagers for this game.

St. Louis has depended on the production of center Jordan Kyrou as he is tied for 29th in the league in assists and tied for 33rd in points as he has recorded 60 points (22 goals, 38 assists) while adding seven points in his last five games.

They have been doing extremely well offensively as they are scoring 3.52 goals on 30.6 shot attempts thus far. Goaltender Jordan Binnington has been struggling a bit as he has a 13-12-4 record with 3.11 goals allowed per game with a save percentage of .903 on the year. As a whole defensively, the Blues are giving up 2.79 goals on 31.6 shots per game.

The major difference is the ability to score the puck, as the Blues are scoring 4.4 goals in their last five games while the Flyers are averaging 2.5 goals in their previous four games.
