Dealing with Stephen Curry being out has clearly taken a toll on the Golden State Warriors. At the time of writing, they’ve lost three straight games, one of which to the Orlando Magic. If they’re unable to get their season back on track, they could lose their position in the conference. This game against the Washington Wizards should give them what they need to bounce back.

The Washington Wizards are nestled on the outskirts of the Eastern Conference. It’s not likely that they’ll be able to find their way into the playoffs, but it’s not impossible. A win over the Warriors could be exactly what they need to get a winning streak going. It’s been a tough year for the Wizards, and they definitely need a win. The question is, can they beat Golden State?

Could they lose this game?

The Washington Wizards are 22nd in the NBA in terms of points per game. On average, the Wizards score just 108.30 points per game. Their defense is their real weak point, allowing an average of 111.61 points per game. As they prepare to face the Warriors, there are two players for them to worry about. If the Wizards can stop Green and Thompson, they could win this one.

Although the Warriors are going through a rough patch, they should win this game. The last time they faced the Wizards was on March 14, 2022, and the Warriors were 11.5-point favorites. In this game, they were at home and beat the Wizards 126-112, covering the spread with ease. Even with Stephen Curry out, the Warriors should be able to win this game on the road.

At the time of writing, the Warriors have a road record of 18-16. The Wizards, this season, are 18-18 at home. Each of these teams is dealing with significant injuries, which means the spread should be low. Even if the Warriors are favored, they shouldn’t be favored by 11.5 points again. So, take the Warriors against the spread, especially if it’s under four points. 

In this game, you’ll definitely want to take the under. The Warriors don’t have the same high-powered offense as they used to. At the time of writing, six of the Warriors’ last seven games have gone under the total.
