Our upset of the week is an easy one. Jacksonville State (+27) took down Florida State on Saturday thanks to a 59-yard Hail Mary as time expired. This was not only the upset of the weekend, but one of the biggest upsets in Florida State history. Going into Saturday, the Seminoles had not lost to a non-FBS team since 1959 when they lost to William & Mary. 

What makes this more insane is the Gamecocks were fresh off the heels of a 31-0 beat down against UAB, a game where they looked lifeless from start to finish. The ‘Noles, on the other hand, just played in a game-of-the-year candidate vs. Notre Dame. 

Since JSU was +2100 on the money line before kickoff, this could go down as the upset of the year. They also collected a $400,000 dollar check from FSU for their trouble. Just for perspective, a JSU bettor would have had to put about $19,000 on the ML to get the same payday. Congrats to the Gamecocks and anyone crazy enough to bet that money line.
