Lakers at Wizards Betting Preview and Predictions

Los Angeles Lakers Travel To Washington to Face the Wizards

With the NBA playoffs quickly approaching, it’s a mad dash for teams to claim their spot. One of these teams is the Los Angeles Lakers, who are currently No.9 in the Western Conference.

However, claiming this spot won’t be easy since they have the Pelicans on their trail. Saturday, they’ll face the Washington Wizards, a team that is trying to get into the playoffs in the East.

Washington currently sits just outside the top ten in the Eastern Conference. In order to get in, they’ll need to overcome the injury bug and start winning games. Taking on the Lakers gives them a chance to do this.

The Lakers have been out of sync all season and are still without Anthony Davis. With so much trouble in Los Angeles, Washington can pull off an upset here.

Game Preview: Los Angeles Lakers at Washington Wizards March 19th

The Los Angeles Lakers have a great offense; it just hasn’t resulted in a lot of wins. This could be due to a number of reasons, but the most obvious is team chemistry. The Lakers struggle to play together as a team, which is why they’ve fallen so far this season.

Still, they average 111.07 points per game, well over the Washington Wizards. Can offense alone lead them to a win here?

The Wizards’ defense has been a troubling aspect in recent games. As of writing, they’ve lost four games in a row, all of which they allowed at least 115 points. When your defense allows this many points, it’s very hard to come away with a win.

Their offense only scores an average of 108.29 points per game. Considering their offense can’t keep up, they could run into trouble.

Los Angeles Lakers at Washington Wizards Betting Prediction

These two teams faced each other very recently to kick off March. The Lakers were at home and 4.5-point favorites. Los Angeles went on to win the game, 122-109, easily covering the spread.

We expect the spread to be similar in this one, even though Anthony Davis is out. He was out in that game against the Wizards, and the Lakers had no trouble beating Washington.

Interestingly enough, the Wizards actually have the lead on the Lakers in wins over the last ten meetings. Over their last ten, the Wizards are 6-4; however, this is a much different Wizards team.

In their recent game against the Warriors, Stephen Curry scored 47 points. The last time LeBron faced Kyle Kuzma and the Wizards, he put up fifty points on his own.

Look for the Lakers to win this game and cover the spread. We’d also suggest taking the over in this game, considering how the Wizards defense has performed.
