Big 10/ACC Challenge Wolverines vs Tar Heels

The NCAA men’s college basketball season has been underway for a couple of weeks, and we have seen quite a few really good games so far this season. We have also seen quite a few upsets and some teams who are unexpectedly playing very well. This week provides us with another really good slate of games as teams are starting to finish up some of their non-conference matchups. The in-season tournaments are also wrapping up, leading to some great games that are not on the slate yet.

December 1st: Michigan Wolverines at North Carolina Tar Heels

Michigan visits North Carolina in another very highly touted Big Ten/ACC Challenge game. Michigan got off to a hot start before losing to Seton Hall and dropping a game against Arizona. They were a preseason top-five team that has dropped down to #20 in the country. North Carolina had a tough week last week as they dropped a pair of games to Purdue and Tennessee. North Carolina is scoring the ball well this year at 83 points a game but having a tough time defending the rim as they give up 79 points a game. On the other hand, Michigan gives up 64 points a game and scores 72 points a game.

Michigan is led by Eli Brooks, who scores 15.7 points a game. North Carolina is led by Armando Bacot, who scores 15.7 points a game and brings in 8.7 rebounds per game to lead the team in that category. I lean toward North Carolina in this game, but it could go either way.
