Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls Preview and Predictions

The Miami Heat Visit Chicago to Battle the Bulls

The Miami Heat is easily one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. However, they’ve struggled over their last five games, winning just one of them. They still lead the conference, but only by a small margin. The Philadelphia 76ers are quickly approaching them and could snatch it away. Saturday, they face one of the best offenses and teams in the NBA, the Chicago Bulls.

The Chicago Bulls have also run into a string of trouble in recent games. Previously, earlier in the season, they had the No.1 spot in the Eastern Conference. After all of the trouble, they’ve fallen from the top to No.5, with the Raptors following closely. This game against the Heat will give them a chance to move up. However, beating Miami is not an easy thing to do at all.

Game Prediction: Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls Game Preview

Each of these teams brings something unique to the game. On one hand, the Miami Heat have an incredible defense, ranking fourth in the NBA. On the other, the Chicago Bulls have a strong scoring offense, led by DeMar DeRozan. This game definitely favors the Miami Heat, who will look to stop  DeRozan. With their defense allowing just 105.23 ppg, they could do it.

The Chicago offense hasn’t mattered much when they face really good defenses. They recently played the New York Knicks and lost the game, 109-104. The Bulls have really taken a turn for the worst at the wrong time. The playoffs are approaching, and their defense is in shambles. Each loss moves them further away from the top of the Eastern Conference and into a bad spot.

Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls Betting Prediction

Since these two teams share a conference, they’ve already played a few times this season. In their last game, the Heat came in as 4.5-point favorites. This game was in late February, so we should see a similar spread this time. The Heat was playing at home, where they’ve had a lot of success this season. By the end of the fourth quarter, the Heat had won the game, 112-99.

This is why we made a note earlier about the poor defense of the Chicago Bulls. On average, they allow 111.18 points per game, nearly the same amount they average on offense. It’s tough to trust them against Miami’s defense, even if they’re playing at home. The Heat have gone 22-14-1 against the spread when playing on the road. So, we’ll take the Heat to win and cover.

When betting on the total in this game, it’s important to remember the defense of the Heat. In fact, it’s a good idea to take their low-scoring offense into account as well. The last time these two played, the score went well under the expected total. We think the same thing will happen this time. Be sure to take the under when the Miami Heat faces the Chicago Bulls.
