Miami Heat Travels to Milwaukee to Face the Bucks

There’s a fight going on to claim the top spot in the Eastern Conference, and the Heat are winning. They have a record of 39-21 and don’t show any signs of slowing down. Led by Jimmy Butler, the Heat have turned into Eastern Conference Champion favorites.

However, there’s a team that would like to do something about that. On Wednesday, the Heat will face that team.

The Milwaukee Bucks might be a few games behind the Heat, but they’re also the former NBA Champions. They’re very familiar with the Heat and played them in the second game of the regular season.

That game ended in a brutal 137-95 loss, and the Bucks are out looking for retribution. They’ll have a chance to deal a significant blow to Miami with a win on Wednesday.

A big issue is how they’ll deal with the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo. If P.J. Tucker is guarding Giannis, this could be a tough challenge for Miami. 

When you’re comparing the two, P.J. Tucker is only 6’5”, compared to Giannis at 6’11”. This is a massive mismatch, and Giannis is a nightmare in the paint.

The Bucks have the sixth-best offense in the NBA, averaging 113.17 points per game. If the Heat can’t find a way to stop Giannis, the Bucks could run away with this one. Especially if George Hill comes back in time.

These two teams faced off relatively recently in an early-December matchup. The Heat came into the game as 6.5-point underdogs, likely similar to this game.

Miami ended up winning the game 113-104, easily covering the spread. If the spread is somewhere around this margin again, we’d suggest taking the Miami Heat. If it’s smaller than three points, take the Bucks.

Milwaukee has gone 20-11 at home this season, but they’re terrible against the spread this year. Most of this is due to them having to cover large spreads of five points or more. This is why we say that you should take Miami if the spread is larger than three points.

The Miami Heat are currently 34-25-1 against the spread. Between these two, they’re a safer pick at the sportsbook.

This season, the Heat has gone over the expected total 36 times. Combining their offense with the offense of the Bucks is a recipe for the total going over.

This is going to be a must-watch game and definitely a close one down the stretch. With that being said, we’d take the Miami Heat and the over in this one.
