Milwaukee Bucks Travel to Detroit to Face the Pistons
Don’t expect the Milwaukee Bucks to start kicking their feet up just yet. The playoffs are around the corner, but they played all of their starters against the Mavericks. Unfortunately for the Bucks, this game against the Mavericks didn’t go their way.
Dallas, led by Luka Doncic, beat the Bucks 118-112. In the previous game, Milwaukee lost 153-119 to the Los Angeles Clippers.
What’s strange is that the Bucks did rest their starters against the Clippers. So, maybe they’ll only rest players when they’re playing a “weaker” team? If that’s the case, they’ll likely sit a few people when they face the Detroit Pistons.
Detroit has already been eliminated from the playoffs, so they pose no threat to the Bucks. Either way, we’ll have to wait and see for the official lineup.
Game Preview: Milwaukee Bucks at Detroit Pistons April 8th
The Milwaukee Bucks’ offense ranks among the best in the NBA. On average, the Bucks score 115.04 points per game, ranking fourth overall.
The question is, how will this offense perform if players like Giannis are rested? We saw in their loss to the Clippers that Milwaukee’s defense greatly suffers from their starters being out. Could we potentially see the same problem here?
The Detroit Pistons have, at the time of writing, won their last three games. Their most recent victory was a 102-94 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. They’ve performed well recently, but can they beat the Bucks?
Even if Milwaukee rests their starters, the Pistons’ defense is among the worst in the NBA. Their offense is even more lackluster, putting up 104.55 points per game.
Milwaukee Bucks at Detroit Pistons Betting Prediction
As we mentioned above, betting on this game depends on who’s active and who isn’t. If Giannis and the Bucks starters are being rested, this game could go the other way.
However, if they’re active, we could see the Bucks win this game by a landslide. In their last three games against the Pistons, the Bucks are 2-1. However, the Bucks were recently dealt a loss by the Pistons.
On January 3, 2022, the Milwaukee Bucks hosted the Detroit Pistons. Milwaukee came in as 17-point favorites but clearly had their guard down. The Pistons beat the Bucks, 115-106, in perhaps the most shocking game of the week.
This goes to show that any team can win in the NBA with the right game plan. Because of this, we’ll take the Pistons to cover against the Bucks.
Betting on the total in this game isn’t easy, especially if starters are out. However, we can use the trends of recent games to come away with a pick.
Over their last three games against each other, the total has gone under three times. So, we’ll take the Detroit Pistons and the under here.
