It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Sunday’s schedule.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Cincinnati Reds – 1:40 PM ET

Beginning our sports bets for the day is the Tampa Bay Rays at Cincinnati Reds. At the moment, the Rays are down 2-0 in this series after their 5-4 loss yesterday. Both of their last two games have gone to extra innings, so keep that in mind for this one. Shane Baz, who is 1-1 as a starting pitcher, will take the mound for the Rays. Baz has an ERA of 2.92 over 24.2 innings.

It would seem as if the Reds have the Rays number with how they’ve played. Overall, the Reds are on a three-game winning streak after their win yesterday. They’ll need a solid game from Nick Lodolo to keep the winning streak going. Lodolo is 1-2 this season with an ERA of 4.19 over 19.1 innings. The Rays have an edge on the mound so we’ll take them tonight -145.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 2:15 PM ET

The Philadelphia Phillies have a record of 46-39 this season, third in the NL East. To keep climbing the standings, they need to string some wins together. They’ve won three games in a row so far, two of which were over the Cardinals. Nick Nelson will take the mound for the Phillies today, Nelson is 3-1 as a starter with a 4.17 ERA.

The St. Louis Cardinals are 45-42 and rank second in the NL Central. This game is a crucial one for them considering they’ve lost four of their last five. With Andre Pallante on the mound, the Cardinals are sending out a 2-4 pitcher. The good news for the Cardinals is they have some strong batters. We think they’ll win this game at home at -120.

Houston Astros vs. Oakland Athletics – 4:07 PM ET

The Houston Astros actually suffered a loss to the Oakland Athletics yesterday. With the series tied at 1-1, today’s game will decide the winner. The Astros are 55-29 and have a significant batting advantage over the Athletics. As a team, the Astros have a batting average of .242 compared to the Athletics’ .209.

With the Astros having the edge at the plate, the next question is pitching. Houston will send out Jake Odorizzi, who is 3-2 as a starter this season. Odorizzi has an ERA of 4.04 this year which puts him behind Cole Irvin of the Athletics. Still, even with Odorizzi on the mound, the better pick is the Houston Astros -190.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Seattle Mariners – 4:10 PM ET

The Blue Jays have lost four of their last five games. The bigger problem is that three of these losses were to the Seattle Mariners. The Blue Jays have one of the best batting teams in Major League Baseball with a .257 batting average. They’ve yet to name who the starting pitcher will be, but it might not matter against Seattle.

The Seattle Mariners have done a great job slowing down the Blue Jays batters. In an effort to keep this up they’ll be starting Logan Gilbert tonight. Gilbert is 10-3 as a starter this season with an ERA of 2.61. The Mariners have won these games fairly easily aside from yesterday’s game, so we’ll take them again.

New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox – 7:00 PM ET

The New York Yankees have a record of 61-24 with a 27-15 record on the road. The good news for the Yankees is that Jameson Taillon is on the mound. Taillon has a 9-2 record as a starter with a 3.63 ERA over the course of 89.1 innings. Yesterday, they took a 6-5 loss to the Boston Red Sox. Today, they’ll look to earn their third win of the series.

The Boston Red Sox is 46-39 and still looking to climb in the AL East. At the moment, they’re behind New York, which means a win here could help. The series is at 2-1 right now in favor of the Yankees with today being the final game. On the mound tonight for Boston is Nick Pivetta, with an ERA of 3.68 and an 8-6 record. We’ll take Boston to win this one at home +115.
