It’s another great day for baseball betting! There’s just one game on Monday’s MLB playoff schedule, a winner-take-all tilt between the Guardians and Yankees!

Tonight, the winner of this series will be decided. The Cleveland Guardians, tied at 2-2 with the New York Yankees are back out on the road. They lost yesterday 4-2 and with it, lost a bit of the momentum they had leading into the game.

It’s important to keep in mind this is the only game of the day. The good news is that each of these games has been entertaining and definitely worth watching. Back on the road, the Guardians will need to do much better at the plate to win tonight.

Getting the nod to take the mound for the Guardians today is Aaron Civale. Civale posted a record of 5-6 during the regular season. His ERA of 4.92 definitely doesn’t bode well for the Guardians, especially against New York.

They’ll need a lot of help from their batters tonight, which should help them out. As a team, the Guardians have a .254 batting average, ranking seventh in the league. They have an on-base percentage of .316, ranking 12th. The question is, will it be enough to beat the Yankees?

After last night’s loss, the Guardians have lost a bit of momentum and they’re on the road. This season, they have a record of 46-35 when playing on the road. It also doesn’t help that they’re going against one of the Yankees best pitchers.

Yankees Tough at Home

The New York Yankees started this series with a 4-1 win before losing back-to-back games. It seemed as if they were doomed to lose this series but they staved off elimination yesterday. Now, it’s up to them to get one more win to move onto the next round of playoffs.

To do this, the Yankees again will need some great pitching. Jameson Taillon will get the start for them tonight, he posted a 14-5 record during the regular season. His ERA of 3.91 isn’t very impressive but he’s been able to win games, which is what matters.

He’s backed up by a strong core batting group, featuring Aaron Judge. Judge leads the team in home runs (62) and has the best batting average .311. If he’s able to hit a few out of the park, the Yankees should be able to secure a win here.

Playing at home also gives New York a bit of an advantage as well. This season, the Yankees have gone 57-24 at home, an impressive record. They come into this game as -150 favorites and between these two, we like the Yankees to win.

Not only because they’re playing at home but because they’re facing elimination. They have the better pitcher on the mound and a few heavy hitters. With so much on the line, we think the Yankees will pull this game off with the total going under.
