The Thunder improved to 48-11 with a 135-119 win over the Hawks on Friday. Oklahoma City, favored by 11 points, covered the spread with the 16-point victory. The total score of 254 points went over the 246.5-point line.

After a 14-0 run by the Hawks brought the score from 69-53 to 69-67, the Thunder responded by outscoring Atlanta 37-20 in the 3rd quarter. Despite the Hawks winning the 4th quarter 35-27, Oklahoma City’s lead was too much to overcome.

The Spurs Are Coming Off A Win

San Antonio improved to 25-33 on the season with a 130-128 win over the Grizzlies on Saturday. The Spurs, who entered the game as +5.5 point underdogs, not only pulled off the upset but also covered the spread. The combined score of 258 points went over the pre-game total of 242.5.

San Antonio took control in the 2nd quarter, outscoring Memphis 46-28, including a 10-0 run. The Grizzlies fought back, winning the 3rd quarter 38-22, but the Spurs held a 99-96 lead going into the 4th and managed to hang on, despite being outscored 32-31 in the final period.

Despite a tough 2nd quarter where the Thunder allowed 41 points, they tightened up defensively in the 3rd, giving up just 20 points to help secure the win. Overall, Oklahoma City allowed 119 points on 48% shooting from the field.

The Thunder limited the Hawks to 15 made threes on 41% shooting. They sent Atlanta to the line 23 times, where the Hawks made 18 free throws. Oklahoma City finished with 34 defensive rebounds, gave up 10 offensive boards, and recorded 10 steals.
