The Spurs improved to 24-29 on the season with a 120-109 win over the Suns on Thursday. San Antonio, who entered the game as +2.5 point underdogs, not only won but covered the spread. The total points for the game were 229, falling short of the 238.5 O/U line.
San Antonio jumped out to a 31-21 lead after the 1st quarter, but the Suns responded with a 13-0 run, extending their lead from 45-34 to 58-34. The Spurs regained control by outscoring Phoenix 34-25 in the 3rd quarter, taking a 94-79 lead into the 4th. Despite being outscored 30-26 in the final period, San Antonio held on for the win.
