Golden State improved to 12-3 on the season with a 112-108 road win over the Pelicans on Friday. Despite being favored by 10.5 points, the Warriors didn’t cover the spread. The game’s total points of 220 fell just short of the 221.5 O/U line.
The Pelicans went on a 13-0 run, taking the lead from 38-33 to 46-38. Golden State responded by winning the 3rd quarter 25-21 and entered the 4th with an 87-84 lead, edging out New Orleans 25-24 in the final period.
The Spurs Are Coming Off A Win
The Spurs evened their record at 8-8 with a 126-118 win over the Jazz on Thursday. San Antonio, playing at home, was favored by 3 points and covered the spread. The game total of 244 points exceeded the O/U line of 224 by 20 points.
San Antonio fell behind early, trailing 32-17 after the 1st quarter. Utah went on an 11-0 run, but the Spurs responded by outscoring the Jazz 34-22 in the 3rd quarter and 41-29 in the 4th, turning an 89-85 deficit into a win.

The Warriors tightened up defensively in the 2nd half, allowing just 21 points in the 3rd quarter and 24 in the 4th to secure a 112-108 win over the Pelicans. Golden State held New Orleans to 44% shooting from the field.
From beyond the arc, the Warriors limited the Pelicans to 12 made threes on 30% shooting. New Orleans also went 14/22 from the free-throw line. The Warriors finished with 5 steals and 5 blocks.
