NCAA Basketball Look Ahead; Thursday, Dec. 30th

Most college basketball teams have wrapped up their portion of the non-conference schedule, and we now find ourselves jumping into the conference slates.

Most teams have played one or two games so far in the conference, but now we turn to almost exclusively conference bouts. There are a ton of deep conferences this year, and that will only lead to an exciting next few months.

Below, we will look at Arizona Wildcats vs UCLA Bruins December 30th matchup and who has the edge coming into the game.

Arizona Wildcats Travel to California to Face the UCLA Bruins

The Arizona Wildcats will travel to California to take on the UCLA Bruins on Thursday. The Wildcats are 11-1 on the year and are ranked #6 in the country. UCLA is 8-1 thus far on the season and are #5 in the country.

Both of these teams are playing excellent basketball this season, and their only loss has come to very good opponents. Arizona lost their last game to Tennessee by four points, and UCLA lost to Gonzaga a month ago.

Both teams are scoring over 80 points a game as Arizona averages 89.5 points a game and UCLA averages 81.1 points a game. They both allow right at 65 points a game, making this an exciting game to watch.

Arizona averages 21.3 assists a game, so UCLA will have to make sure that they are moving on the defensive side of the ball. I give the edge to Arizona in this one just because I think they will be fresher.
